LARNED — Sponsored by the Larned National Honor Society, Larned High School held its first ever “Larned High School Only” blood drive Friday in the LHS gym. It was so successful, they will stage another blood drive later this spring.
With only LHS students and staff participating, they delivered 50 usable units of blood for the American Red Cross, 10 above their goal. More than half of the donors gave blood for the first time. Blood drive co-chairs were Bailey Schartz and Shealon Calkins,
“We would like to thank everyone who made the day so successful,” Schartz said. “We would like to invite the entire community to come out and support the community blood drive that we will be hosting April 25.”
