LARNED — The Pawnee County Commission met June 13 at the Pawnee County Courthouse. The following are approved minutes submitted by Pawnee Commission clerk Ruth Searight.
9 a.m. — Pawnee County commissioners Kathy Bowman, Donna Pelton and John Haas were present.
Commissioners went through mail. They discussed the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital.
Commissioners approved and signed a payroll change for Doyle Mayse, Level IV, to step 3, effective June 13.
They approved clerical correction to June 23, 2011 minutes. They approved and signed checks for payables.
Commissioners received and discussed safety recall notice on Chevrolet Impala that the Welcome Inn uses.
10 a.m. — Dwight Young, The Center for Counseling and Consultation, presented and discussed financials and 2012 appropriation request.
10:30    a.m. — Kathy Rondeau, district manager, Soil Conservation, gave updates on financials and projects.
11 a.m. — Mark Bauer, VonFeldt, Bauer and VonFeldt, gave an update on progress on the 2010 audit.
John Settle, County Attorney, gave an update on airport damages.
11:30    a.m. — Lois Eye, Pawnee County Humane Society, gave updates on the progress of the new facility.  It is scheduled to open July 1.  She gave updates on the number of animals picked up in Pawnee County for the last three years. She     requested some support from the county.
She discussed concerns regarding another pumpkin patch in Pawnee County that might affect the Humane Society’s fundraising. She gave other updates and additional plans and projects.
1:45 p.m. — Mark Hinde, SDSI director, gave updates on activities, plans and projects. Commissioners reviewed a request for 2012 budget appropriation.
2:35 p.m. — Settle and the commissioners discussed Allied vs. Terracon.  Commissioners approved Terracon. Settle suggested that PVCH pay for it.
Settle discussed other hospital issues and scheduling time with banks regarding    the bonds for the next two weeks.  Settle will contact them and set up times.
3 p.m. — Commissioners adjourned until Monday, June 20.
