Pawwee County commissioners make first Pictometry payment

LARNED — The Pawnee County Commission met at 9 a.m. Aug. 3 for a regular meeting. Pawnee County commissioners Kathy Bowman; Donna Pelton, chair; and Gary Caplinger, were present. The following are approved minutes submitted by Pawnee County clerk Ruth Searight.
Searight gave the following to the commissioners for their review/approval — payables; City of Larned, Pictometry first installment check, for $2,472; BOK payments; KAC, Thinking through the property tax lid; July sales/comp tax; copy of Cancelable Equipment Lease from First State Bank; KAC form for Voting Delegate and Alternate; draft minutes of July 27, 2015, for approval; and KAC November Meeting Registration.
• Commissioners sorted through the mail.
• Commissioners read and approved minutes of July 27, 2015.
• Commissioners approved and signed checks for payables.
• Commissioners worked on the 2016 budget.
• Robin Rziha, Pawnee County health department administrator, brought by a proposed policy for the commissioners’ review.
• Commissioners signed a payroll change for Jesse Johnson, whose last day was last week, and also, signed a payroll change for Dorothy Keenan, new part-time employee.
• Via telephone, commissioners visited with Sheila Toon regarding a question she had regarding Camp Pawnee.  No answer was provided.
• Commissioners worked on the 2016 budget.
