LARNED — The public is invited to the annual Quilter’s Celebration from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, 8th and Morris.
The morning session will feature short demonstrations, quick and easy tips, infomercials, the popular Peddler’s Corner, coffee breaks, and a covered dish luncheon at noon for all participants. Food and service provided.
A program on “Needles & Threads,” by B.J. Parsons from Midwest Sewing, Hutchinson will be featured in the afternoon.
Drawings for gift certificates have been donated by area quilt shops as well as prizes of handmade quilted articles, patterns and notions. You must be present to win.

Last year’s event was attended by more than 80 people, including those from Russell, Jetmore, Lyons, Wichita and Hays.
