LARNED — Come enjoy memories of Christmases past. The Santa Fe Trail Center invites the public to a Christmas Open House. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy some holiday cheer and view a stunning display of cameras, vintage cards and photos.
The cameras are on loan from a member of the community and the cards and photos will be rarely seen pieces from the Trail Center’s archives. In addition, the exhibit will feature an old-fashioned Christmas tree with toys from the museum permanent collections.
The Christmas Open House is from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 with admission reduced to half price – adults, $2, students ages 12 to 18, $1.50, vhildren ages 6 to 11, 75 vents; and Fort Larned Historical Society members free. Refreshments will be provided in the lobby.
The display of cameras will be available until middle of February in the museum’s temporary exhibit space.
The Santa Fe Trail Center is two miles west of Larned on K-156. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
