Larned High School football coach A.B. Stokes poses with his team wearing the T-shirt they designed for the Larned Blackout for United Way of Central Kansas.  The community supported the Blackout by raising $2,000 for UWCK.  Pictured receiving the check is  UWCK Board member Tama Hanson.  Tama Hanson, Kevyn Soupiset, Gary Hartman, Bethany Skelton, Cory Turner, Jane Fox, Cindy Stesjkal, and Susan Aistrup provided help with the fundraiser. Julie Bugner Smith, United Way of Central Kansas director, said she was pleased with the community involvement from Larned.  Smith said the community has helped countless friends, neighbors and co-workers in their community enjoy a better quality of life.
