LARNED — The Larned Middle School sixth graders were given an presentation last year as fifth graders and were told how the 21 agencies of United Way of Central Kansas help the people in their community.
The students depicted the agencies of United Way on a poster.  A committee chose the winners and their posters were given to community leaders and or businesses that support and encourage the promotion of the United Way of Central Kansas in the community.
“The support of Larned has been tremendous and we are encouraged by the awareness that the United Way agencies have made to the area citizens,” said Julie Smith, United Way of Central Kansas director. “These students are our future leaders and will be the ones to volunteer and take care of their community.”
