LARNED — The regular monthly meeting of the Welcome Inn Leisure Center Inc. was called to order by Ben Appel, vice president, on Feb. 6 at 12:45 p.m.
In addition to Ben Appel, the following board members were present — Jim Forrest, treasurer; Thelmarie Wilhite, historian; Karlene Meckfessel, financial secretary; and Roger Haberman, reporter. Absent were Charles Wonsetler, president; and Betty Tauscher, secretary. Lila Beltz, Loretta Moss and Mona Marie Wysong were guests.
Jim Forrest gave the treasurer’s report. All bills were allowed.
The yoga classes started Feb. 4 with 23 participants. Jill Hutchins, certified instructor, is in charge. These classes are free in that we have a grant to pay for them. This grant is given through the support of the Southwest Kansas Area Agency on Aging.
There were discussions on purchasing a new copy machine and on rug cleaning. These topics will be discussed further at the next board meeting. A new copy machine is definitely needed, as it is a key item in our every day operation.
It is interesting to note that not to long ago, the leaky roof was discussed at most meetings, but sometime last year other needs were identified and the roof has not been mentioned. The roof is still a problem. Just ask Charles Wonsetler and others, who clean up the mess when it rains.
The next carry-in dinner is scheduled for Feb. 10 with Valeta Milhon and Roger Haberman being the hosts. The carry-in dinner on Jan. 13 with Martha Appel and Charles Wonsetler hosting, had a very large turnout and a lot of food. There was a baked potato theme for this carry in.

The meeting adjourned at 1:50 p.m. and will meet again March 6 at 12:45 p.m.
