adjusting to life changes that occur as we age; increasing well-being and life satisfaction; living independently through a stronger support system.
Program volunteers will: help older adults improve their quality of life; volunteer their time and meet new people; assist older adults to realize their strengths; help older adults achieve their personal goals; help older adults use community resources.
Peer Support volunteers will be expected to make a time commitment to meet with their senior partner once a week for ten weeks after completing training. Training will be provided by the area agency on aging. Volunteers and senior partners will be paired up by location and gender.
