A pickup fleeing Russell County law enforcement went off U.S. 281 at 12:10 a.m. Saturday in Barton County.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports Jordan L. Emig, 24, of Flora Vista, New Mexico, was taken to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington with possible injury. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
He was fleeing a Russell County Sheriff's Department vehicle in a 2013 Ford F-150 with a North Dakota license tag. It went off the road about four miles west of Hoisington, entered the south ditch and struck a field entrance drive, which it vaulted over before coming to rest.
The pickup was removed by A&D wrecker service to a Russell lot.
