On July 25, treasurers for candidates running for state and county office will file their pre-primary election campaign reports. In addition, on July 28, a report of last minute contributions will also be filed by any state or county candidate who receives any contribution in the amount of $300 or more. All campaign reports are a matter of public record. Candidates for state office file
their reports only with the Secretary of State. State candidate reports can be viewed on the Governmental Ethics Commission’s website at www.kansas. gov/ethics.
County candidate reports are available for review during regular business hours in the County Clerk/County Election Office in which the candidate is on the ballot. These campaign reports contain the names of most contributors and the amounts of their contributions as well as information as to how campaign funds are spent.
