Then you need to attend the prescribed burning workshop that will be held from 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Feb. 9, at the Stafford County Extension Office, 210 E. Third in St. John. Topics covered will include: reasons for burning; notification; regulations and permits; weather; liability; using a burn contractor and burning assistance; equipment; hazards and firebreaks overview; and planning and conducting a burn.
