Crews are scheduled to begin sealing, patching and striping a 17-mile stretch of K-156 in Barton County on Monday, Sept. 17. Pavement Pros LLC of McPherson is the primary contractor for the $36,235 project. It starts at mile marker 128.38 U.S. 56/K-156 and ends at mile marker 145.61 at the Barton/Edwards county line. Traffic will be controlled with a flagging and pilot car operation.

The Kansas Department of Transportation urges all motorists to be alert, obey the warning signs and “Give ’Em a Brake!” when approaching and driving through a highway work zone. Persons with questions about this road work or other KDOT projects may call South Central Kansas Public Affairs Manager Deb Gruver at 620-663-3361.
