United States Army Korean Conflict Era veteran Harold Weikert was awarded a Quilt of Valor from Golden Plains Quilts of Valor at Showalter Villa in Hesston on December 8, 2018. Harold was stationed at Fort Benning and worked in transportation. He did the metal and welding work on all the vehicles. Harold later owned and operated D & H Appliance in Great Bend for many years.
