Quilts of Valor January 2018
Don Green United States Navy Vietnam veteran Don Green was awarded a Quilt of Valor from Golden Plains quilts of Valor on Jan. 26, 2018, at the American Legion Post 180 in Great Bend. Don served from 1970 to 1974 aboard the USS Coral Sea, including two tours in Vietnam. The quilt top was made by Margaret Evers, quilting by Amy Schartz Mellor.
