The City of Great Bend is partnering with the K&O Railroad to adjust the railroad crossing at the intersection of 10th & Harrison, City Engineer Rob Winiecke said. Work is anticipated to begin on Monday and take about a week to complete.
The project will consist of raising the railroad tracks. Travelers can expect to see traffic control with lane closures, construction equipment, and work crews during this work.
“The City appreciates everybody’s patience while this work is being completed,” Winiecke said.  Questions can be directed to either the Engineering or Public Works department by calling 620-793-4111 or 620-793-4150.
