Rash of vandalism reported in Claflin

CLAFLIN — The Claflin Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in several cases of vandalism in the city of Claflin. According to Claflin Police Chief Gregg Vannoster, between March 29 and April 10, six vehicles have been vandalized in the city.  The vehicles appear to have been scratched with a sharp object.  

The first report occurred sometime around March 29 and 30, when a vehicle parked in a driveway on 8th Street was vandalized.  Then, between April 8-9, four vehicles parked on the 300 block of 7th street were damaged, and between April 9-10, damage to one vehicle parked along the 200 block of 6th Street was reported. Also, between April 7 -10, two vehicles were vandalized in the same manner parked along the 300 block of Williamson St. Total damages are in excess of several thousand dollars.
