With summer school coming to an end, the Great Bend Recreation Commission has a number of programs set to begin in July and run through the end of the month. Summer activities will be offered at the Recreation Center, Activity Center, Lincoln, Jefferson, Eisenhower and Park schools and other locations throughout Great Bend.
A variety of enrichment and recreation programs are still available for children between the ages of 5 and 12, Recreation Program Director Garet Fitzpatrick said. These programs include Summer Craft Challenge, My Cool Cat, Circles the Caterpillar, Frog Swatter, Recycle Art, Girls Rock, Cool Clay, Cheerleading, cooking classes, day camps and a variety of fun mini classes.
Preschool programs for children ages 3 to 4 will also be held at various locations in Great Bend. These programs include Exploring Bugs & Critters, Beach Time Fun, Amazing Shapes Made Fun, Cooking & Crafting, I’m An Artist Too and a variety of mini classes.
