First Congregational United Church of Christ, 3400 21st Street, invites everyone to celebrate “Fat Tuesday” at their tenth annual Monterrey Dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Tickets are $7.50 and $3.50 for children 6 and younger and are available in advance or at the door, with take-out available. An accessible entrance is located on the Polk Street side of the church.
A generous tostada-style dinner and delicious dessert of ice cream, cookie and caramel-jalapeno pepper sauce will be served. Proceeds from the dinner will be sent to Haiti to help with the ongoing reconstruction after the earthquake in January 2010.
The dinner is inspired by a grand Mardi Gras theme and will celebrate with good food. For any questions, please contact the church office, 792-5346.
