• “Increase the Reach Summit” presented by Rev. Scott Hinkle will be held at Faith Community Church on Saturday, April 12th from 9 a.m. until noon. The church is located 1 mile west of 10th and Patton Road in Grea Bend. The Rev. Hinkle will also be speaking in the Sunday Morning Worship Service, April 13 at Faith Community Church at 10:30 a.m. Both services are open to the public. Scott Hinkle, an evangelist now headquartered in the Dallas /Forth Worth Metroplex once lived a life that pointed to only one direction…prison and ultimately an early grave.
• The next Great Bend Aglow Lighthouse will be April 12 at a new location, the First Assembly of God church, 601 S. Patton Road. Coffee and social time is at 9 a.m., with the meeting getting underway at 9:30. This month’s guest speaker is Kimberly Becker, director of Central Kansas Dream Center, which is located in the former Roosevelt School in Great Bend. She is a credentialed minister and has worked for years with high risk kids and in mental health. Those attending the Aglow meeting are invited to bring gifts such as shampoo and laundry soap, as well as gift cards and financial support to share with the Dream Center.
• Sponsors of Royal Family Kids Camp, which provides summer fun for children in foster care, will hold a 5K run/walk at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, at Brit Spaugh Park.
