St. Michael Catholic Parish of La Crosse will celebrate its centennial on Sept.18. The parish extends an invitation and welcome to all to join in this celebration.
The day’s events will begin with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 3 p.m. celebrated by the Most Reverend John J. Brungardt, Bishop of Dodge City. Concelebrating with him will be the Most Reverend Ronald M. Gilmore, Bishop Emeritus of Dodge City, Pastor Pascal Klein, former pastors and visiting clergy.
Following the Mass there will be a banquet and program in the parish hall.
To commemorate the occasion a Centennial Book entitled “Our Journey of Faith” is being published and will be on sale at the celebration. The book contains the history of the parish from the original church to the present including pictures of events such as first communions, confirmations and a complete collection of the eighth grade graduating classes from St. Michael Parochial School.
