The 1997 motion picture, “Life is Beautiful,” will be shown at 6:15 p.m. Friday, March 27, as part of the Heartland Center for Spirituality’s latest series of “Movies with a Message.” The movie begins at 6:15 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Motherhouse of the Dominican Sisters of Peace, 3600 Broadway Ave. A freewill offering will be accepted to offset the cost of refreshments. Set in 1930s Italy, “Life is Beautiful” is about a Jewish man who has a wonderful romance with the help of his humour, but later must use that same quality to protect his son in a Nazi concentration camp.
