The congregation of the Great Bend Seventh-day Adventist Church will celebrate its church dedication at 11 a.m. this Saturday, June 7.
The building was opened Jan. 5, 2013, with standing room only at the open house, as neighboring congregations and friends came to celebrate the event. Now, a year and half later, the congregation is inviting the public to attend the dedication.
The Bible study hour begins at 9:30 and the church service (dedication) will begin at 11. The dedication message will be presented by Elder Ron Carlson, president of the Kansas-Nebraska Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and assisted by Don Stricker, vice-president for finance.
The Great Bend Seventh-day Adventist Church has been in Great Bend since the World War II years and moved from the original location at 12th and Madison St. to the present location in the early ’90s. In the original site plan the congregation included a new sanctuary. This building now has completed this phase of the project. The public is invited to come and celebrate with this congregation as they dedicate this new building to the Lord.
