Members of the Thr3Elements youth group at CrossPoint Church will don their favorite superhero costumes this weekend to help battle hunger. The youth, in grades 7-12, are inviting community members to become heros as well by donating items to the Barton County Community Food Bank, Youth Pastor Randy Mills said.
Thr3Elements youth will be in superhero costumes when they appear in front of Walmart to collect food items from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 5. Then they will go door to door collecting food from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
There will be a drop-box available at The Village Cinema for the duration of “The Avengers” movie, opening tonight. Movie times are listed in the Great Bend Tribune or online at www.villagecinemas3.com.
