Surrendered Family Ministries invites everyone to take part in observing the 60th annual National Day of Prayer at 7 p.m. on Thursday, at the Crest Theatre, 1905 Lakin, in Great Bend. Each year millions of believers across America join together to gather, worship, and pray on the National Day of Prayer. It is a significant occasion on which Americans lay aside cultural, racial, and denominational differences and join hearts in acknowledging God.
The 7 p.m. event will consist of prayer, worship, and a message delivered by Joseph Ametepe from Yesuli International Ministries (www.yesuli.org). Harpist Carole Harris will provide the special music during the prayer time and an area-wide choir will participate in the event.
Anyone between the ages 13-113 can participate in the choir by attending practice at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, at Faith Community Church, located 1 mile west of 10th and Patton on the south side of 10th street. If anyone is interested in volunteering to be a greeter at the National Day of Prayer event contact Marcie at 620-793-0698.
Surrendered Family Ministries has been hosting area wide events in the Great Bend area since 2003 and encourages everyone to take part in the 2011 National Day of Prayer observance in the Great Bend area.
