• Great Bend Church of Christ invites children to the Heroes Unmasked Fall Festival from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, at the church, located at 12th and Stone St.

• The Russell Association of Churches will host a walk at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Russell High School’s Shaffer Field. Participants will raise funds for the Russell Food Bank. If people desire to participate, volunteer or donate, they may contact St. John Lutheran, 785-483-5358.

• Barton County Association of Churches is planning its annual soup supper, which will take place from 4:30-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at the Prince of Peace Parish Center in Great Bend. A freewill donation will be taken, and all can enjoy soup and pie or cake, organizers said. Dine-in and carryout will be available. Money raised will support the Barton County Emergency Aid Association.
