Barton County Historical Society will host a car show on Aug. 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The car show is free and everyone is invited to attend.
Rolling Sculpture 2016 is open to anyone who wants to bring a vehicle to display.
There is no entry fee. Door prizes will be drawn at 2:30 for all registered vehicles.
Parking for trailers is available just north of the museum grounds at the city parking lot. The museum and buildings will be open and video from the early drag strip will be shown.
Whitetail Concessions from Ellinwood will be available for food and beverages.
This year’s show is in memory of Rich Fox, a Great Bend resident who died March 16. Fox was a street rod builder, owning and operating Affordable Street Rods.
Barton County Museum and Village is located on U.S. 281 just south of the Arkansas River Bridge in Great Bend.
