The Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education will meet with an attorney during its mid-month meeting, set for noon Thursday at the District Education Center, 201 South Patton Road.
Forty minutes have been set aside for an executive session for consultation that is considered privileged in attorney-client relationship. No action is expected to follow on the matter that will be discussed.
The board will act on other personnel matters. It is expected to approve the resignations of Kelly Clark, who teaches first grade students at Park Elementary School, and Ted Schmid, a science teacher at Great Bend High School.
Mid-month meetings are usually held at various learning centers. This meeting was originally scheduled to be at Jefferson Elementary School. School officials said the meeting was moved to the District Education Center to insure good educational environment for Jefferson students.
