The Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education will hold its monthly noon meeting at Riley Elementary School on Thursday. Principal JoAnn Blevins and staff will share information regarding the academic programs and school improvements at Riley.
The board will be asked to approve contributions and grant applications:
• The fourth annual Hahn Brothers Supercross Shootout was held at the Expo Center on Sept. 23-25. Organizers donated to each elementary school 60 wristbands enabling free entrance to the event.
• Karen Perry-Hayes wishes to donate $360 to the Great Bend High School Student Council for the purchase of pullovers for executive members.
• Cristina Ingram, Kansas Reading Roapmap (KRR) coordinator at Park Elementary School, requests board approval to submit an application to Blue Cross and Blue Shield for a $1,000 Healthy Habits for Life grant.
