The Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education will hold its budget hearing at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at the District Education Center, 201 S. Patton Road.
During the hearing, there will be a review of the district’s proposed 2015-2016 budget, which was published in the Great Bend Tribune on Aug. 12. The hearing will be followed by approval of the budget.
State law also requires the school board to adopt a budget resolution if the taxes levied to finance the next year’s budget exceed the prior year by more than the consumer price index. A resolution for that purpose is on the agenda.
