Highway-Patrol

The driver of a Freightliner semi-truck reportedly ran a stop sign and struck a car Tuesday morning in Ellsworth County, injuring the other motorist.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at 9:37 a.m. at Avenue Q and 1st Road, 6 miles northwest of Holyrood. The 2005 truck driven by Levi A. Lister, 36, Salina, was eastbound on NE 190th Road which turns into Avenue Q. It struck a southbound, 2002 Lexus driven by Carolyn V. Soukup, 56, of Wilson. Both vehicles came to rest in the southeast ditch.
The drivers were both wearing seat belts. Lister was not injured, but Soukup was transported to Salina Regional Health Center with undetermined injuries.
