Members of the Great Bend Seventh-day Adventist Church are hoping for a good turnout at the church rummage sale Sunday and Monday. Just don’t show up on Saturday, because that is when members will be worshiping at the church, member Doris Reile said.

That is a common mistake people make, she said. The church rummage sale will be Sunday, August 11, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will continue on Monday from 8 a.m. to noon when many items will be half price. The church is located 1 mile west of 10th and Patton Road near the Great Bend Trail.

The proceeds from this sale will go toward the Seventh-day Adventist School.

“Items in this huge sale include a complete music library from a local piano and organ teacher; many books, some antique; huge selection of children’s VHS tapes and movies; furniture; a large selection of new ladies clothing; many lamps and light fixtures; Pat Boone memorabilia; many canning jars; organ, piano, puzzles and games; large variety of home grown plants including succulents; furniture; fridge and many other items,” she said.
