The Great Bend English, Great Bend Spanish, McPherson and Hutchinson Seventh-day Adventist Churches are meeting Friday evening, May 19, at 7 p.m. and then throughout Saturday, May 20, at the Great Bend Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Theme of the Camp Meeting is “Christ, Compassion, Community.”
The public is invited to come for a day of spiritual revival and fellowship. Saturday events will begin at 9:30 a.m. Two meals will be provided during the Sabbath hours on Saturday.
Featured speakers will be Elder Rob Carlson, president of the Kansas-Nebraska Conference; Sue Carlson, women’s, children, and family ministries leader for Kansas and Nebraska; and Pastor Melvin Santos, vice-president for Administration, also from the Kansas-Nebraska Conference. Each of these guests will present seminars.
There will be many varied musical presentations by the “Higher Purpose” praise team, the Seventh-day Adventist School tone-bell choir, the Great Bend English choir, Malagasy Choir, singers from the Spanish Church, and many solos featuring Sue Carlson and varied singers or instrumentalists from four churches represented.
Church members invite the public to bring lawn chairs and enjoy an old-fashioned Camp Meeting in a tent. Come and receive a blessing in beautiful rural setting at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, located 1 mile west of 10th Street and Patton Road in Great Bend.
