ST. JOHN — These are the minutes from the Stafford County Board of County Commissioner meeting.
The Stafford County Board of County Commissioners met on Wednesday, July 29, in the Commission Room in the Annex. Commissioner Garner called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m. Present: Bryce Garner and Jim Stanford.
Danielle Hollingshead, Adams Brown, met with the commissioners to present the final 2025 county audit report. She went over the financial statement and advised that Stafford County was issued a clean audit report for 2025. Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to accept the final 2025 audit report from Adams Brown and signed the representation letter. Motion carried 2-0.
Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded, to accept the minutes of the July 22nd meeting. Motion carried 2-0,
Trent Harman, Road & Bridge, presented a road crossing permit from Kansas Water Users Association to bore a 24” PVC water line at a depth greater than 3 feet starting at the NW corner of the SW/4 of 11-23-12 then running along NE 70th Ave 2700 feet on the east side of the road and ditch, then to NE 80th St 6 miles on the south side of the road and ditch and then to NE 130th Ave 2.2 miles along the edge of the road and ditch. Commissioner Garner moved, and Commissioner Stanford seconded to approve Permit #2026-07-28. Motion carried 2-0.
Cheryl Budge, Appraiser, presented a draft of a revised NRP brochure for the commissioners to review.
There will be no meeting on Aug. 5th to allow the clerk to complete election reporting that morning.
