STAFFORD — A Stafford woman was convicted Friday of murder, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.
A Stafford County jury found Misty R. Salem, 36, guilty of one count of second-degree intentional murder. Senior Judge John Sanders presided over the trial. Sentencing has been set for August 25 at 11 a.m.
The conviction stemmed from a crime that occurred in March 2016 in connection with the death of Samuel Salem.
The case was investigated by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Stafford Police Department. Assistant Attorneys General Will Manly and Adam Zentner of Schmidt’s office prosecuted the case.
