The Great Bend Recreation Commission will be hosting a free Stop ‘N Learn Session titled, “Winter Wonderland” from 12 to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th. This program will also be held starting at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave. Winter weather can be frustrating, but the science behind it is fascinating! Learn how winter brings us snow, sleet and ice as well as how the critters of Cheyenne Bottoms handle the cold.
