On Feb. 17, at 6 p.m., join us in the Teen Spot for this month’s Mystery Monday: Glitter Bottles! Shanna Long with the Great Bend Center for Counseling will show teens how to make these sparkling, sensory marvels. Supplies are limited; first come, first served.

With the break from school on Friday, Feb. 21, why not come to the Teen Spot to try your hand at making Stop-Motion Movies? After a brief lesson on stop-frame animation, spend the day off capturing your own short film, starting at 11 a.m.

We have a special, two-day event for Children this Friday and Saturday! On Friday at 4 p.m., bring your ‘stuffy’ to the library for a Stuffed Animal Sleepover (this is not for your ‘must-have-to-sleep’ stuffy, since you’ll be sleeping at home). After story time, leave your stuffy overnight with the librarians, who will document the stuffies’ adventures to share with you at breakfast at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22. For stuffed animal stories that you can check out and read together at home, try some of these titles: “Knuffle Bunny” by Mo Willems, “The Velveteen Rabbit” by Margery Williams, and “Winnie-the-Pooh” by A. A. Milne. For other similar titles, browse our online card catalog (www.catalog.ckls.org).
