“Suicide Punchline”, a free, one-woman live multimedia performance is set for 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Barton Community College Fine Arts Auditorium.
Jen Tuder, PhD, Associate Professor at St. Cloud Stage University, Minnesota, is the writer and performer of this unique look at the aftermath of the death of her father by suicide. The end of his life is the beginning of her journey to some sort of resolution. She challenges the audience to examine the lifelong process of survival and gives them instructions in hope.
A post-show discussion with the artist immediately follows the 40 minute performance and refreshments will be served.
Everyone is invited to attend this free event being sponsored by Suicide Prevention Task Force of Central Kansas Partnership, Barton Community College Theatre Department, and Barton Gay/Straight Alliance. The venue address is Barton Community College Fine Arts Auditorium, 245 SE 30 Road, Great Bend, KS.
