Area youths will present “Summer KAOS” a play about a summer camp that has a few issues the campers and the counselors will have to take care of before the camp is closed. It will be at the Crest theater on Friday July 10th, at 7 p.m.
This is the Great Bend Recreation Commission’s 21st annual youth summer theater production. The cast of 30 children, ages 6-15, has been practicing for five weeks under the direction of Paul Martin and assistants Tammy Bell and Hannah Mosier, along with the stage assistants Debra Koch and Karen Clark.
Its chaos at Camp KAOS, confusion and fun is the business of the day for the camp. The camp is having some issues that will need to be taken care of before Wally, the head counselor looses the camp for good to the richest women in the area, not to mention issues with the health inspector, and a mysterious weather phenomenon, El Gordo that has brought a migration of mice to the camp.
Many of the children have performed in previous GBRC summer theater productions.
