Bring your kids Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 9:30 a.m. to the Great Bend Recreation Commission Activity Center, located at 2715 18th Street, for a special Storytime this week. After we read, sing, and dance together, you can go have fun in the gym or Backyard Playground until 11 a.m.

Fuse art and technology with the Binary Keychains we’re making in the Teen Spot on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m. Use binary code and perler beads to convert your name into art for your keyring or bag (no coding experience required). Supplies are limited; first come, first served. If you enjoy stories that cover the subject of computer coding, check out these young adult fiction titles: Girl Gone Viral by Arvin Ahmadi, Warcross by Marie Lu, and Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.
