Traffic stop leads to drug, weapons arrest

A traffic stop conducted by the Great Bend Police Department at 1:40 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, resulted in the arrest of the driver, Kenneth Gray, for charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Gray, age 53, was booked into the Barton County Jail with bond set at $10,000.

According to the police, a K-9 from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office was called to assist during the traffic stop. The K-9 indicated the presence of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle and a search of the vehicle was conducted. Gray was the only occupant in the vehicle.
