Great Bend police arrested Ernest Klima, age 58, for narcotic and traffic violations Friday evening.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Friday, a GBPD officer stopped a 1997 Ford Thunderbird in the 2300 block of Monroe for a traffic violation. The officer recognized the driver as Klima and knew he was driving without a driver’s license. He was arrested for that traffic infraction.

As Klima was being arrested, the officer located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on his person. He was booked at Barton County Jail and was released on Saturday after posting a $10,000 surety bond.
