A Great Bend woman was arrested on drug charges during a routine traffic stop on Tuesday.
Rachelle Hillegeist, 47, was arrested and booked into the Barton County Jail for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputy Sierra Thorne conducted the traffic stop at the intersection of 24th and Kansas Ave. After contacting the driver the deputy requested the assistance of a K-9 officer from the Great Bend Police Department. The K-9 indicated the presence of a controlled substance in the vehicle. A search was conducted, suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia were found.
Hillegeist is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond.
