An injury accident was reported at 12:22 p.m. Wednesday when two vehicles collided at K-96 and Patton Road. The Great Bend Police Department reports Jairo Martinez was driving northeast on Patton Road in a Lincoln Navigator and failed to yield right of way to a Chrysler Town and Country van driven by Leroy Rube, who was traveling northwest on K-96. Rube and passenger Dorothy Rube were transported to Great Bend Regional Hospital.
Dorothy Rube was treated and released. Leroy Rube was later transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with head injuries. A spokesman at Wesley said he remained in critical condition Thursday afternoon.
The Lincoln was towed by Marshall’s Towing and the van was towed by Doonan’s.
