HOISINGTON — Two people were arrested on drug-related charges in Hoisington following Monday afternoon raids, according to a statement from the Hoisington Police Department.
At about 1:13 p.m. Monday, the HPD executed a narcotics-related search warrant in the 300 block of East Fourth Street where narcotics where found. Arrested in connection with the case were Jennifer Welcher and Matthew Harris who were booked for distribution of a controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a school. Bonds were each set at $50,000. Additional arrests are expected with this case.
Then, at about 4:46 Monday, another narcotics-related search warrant was executed in the 300 block of East Third Street where drugs were found. After that, Welcher and Harris (who were both already in jail) were booked for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bonds were each set at $10,000.
