Starting Sept. 1 through Sept. 6, the City of Hoisington will begin a permitted road closing of US-281 Highway from Reference Post 114 to Reference Post 116 for the annual Labor Day Celebration in Barton County.
With both lanes being affected and closed by the project, local traffic will be detoured on local streets with a resting speed limit of 20 mph. Minimal time delays to be expected. All loads over 12’ of total width and 14’ of vertical clearance should seek alternative routes. All super loads should be rerouted on alternate routes.
