Vehicle rolled after driver fell asleep

ELLINWOOD — A Hutchinson woman who fell asleep while driving in Barton County on Sunday was taken to Ellinwood District Hospital, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at 4:34 p.m. on U.S. 56, 0.2 miles east of Ellinwood. Amanda L. Blevins, 33, was westbound when she fall asleep at the wheel of a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe. The vehicle left the highway and entered the north ditch, struck a Kansas Department of Transportation road sign, rolled twice and came to rest on its wheels. Blevins was wearing a seat belt.
The Tahoe was removed by Marshall Towing.
