Vehicles collide near Russell

RUSSELL — Two vehicles collided and two people were taken to Russell Regional Hospital on Sunday after a driver ran a stop sign at the intersection of Old 40 and 189th St., approximately 1.25 miles east of Russell.
Kansas Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at 6:16 p.m. A 2003 Buick Century driven by Etta L. Keil, 30, of Russell, went through the stop sign and collided with a 2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty pickup driven by Curtis A. Counts, 54, of Russell.
Keil was not wearing a seat belt; she was taken to the hospital with undetermined injuries. Counts was not injured, but his passenger, Karla L. Berry, 58, of Russell, was taken to the hospital with possible injury. Both were wearing seat belts.
Both vehicles were towed by A&D.
