Vehicles stalled in high water

Friday’s storm dropped about 2 inches of rain on Great Bend and left some motorists stranded when their vehicles stalled out in high water.
The Great Bend Police Department received reports of this happening at 7:03 p.m. at 10th and Kansas; at 8:34 p.m. at 12th and Heizer St.; and at 8:38 p.m. at Lakin and Stone.
Golden Belt Humane Society picked up a dog that was out in the storm just before 9 p.m., in the 1000 block of Madison St.
