Local law enforcement officers conducted a warrant sweep last Friday, resulting in several arrests.
The Great Bend Police Department coordinates the warrant task force, which conducted its first warrant sweep in March. Great Bend police officers, Barton County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Kansas Bureau of Investigation agents, Kansas State Parole Board representatives and an officer from the Ellinwood Police Department participated in the first sweep. Their goal was to clear up as many of the stack of 120 warrants on the books as possible.
Friday’s arrests included two Great Bend men with Barton County warrants for drug distribution and other alleged crimes. Delton Sullivan and Bradley Poppelreiter were both booked into the Barton County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
